Whether they develop into a multinational corporation or continue to operate as local mid-sized business, they are considered to be important in Canadian economic growth. The Start-up Visa program is open to immigrant entrepreneurs who can demonstrate potential to build a business based on an innovative idea, or using cutting-edge technology in Canada. 

SUV Eligibility

For your application to be eligible for Start-up visa processing, you must: 

•  Have received a Letter of Support from a designated entity 
• Meet the language requirements and 
• Have sufficient settlement funds (transferable and available funds, free of debts or other obligations and excluding any investment made by a designated entity into their business)

The Self-employed Persons Program allows people to immigrate to Canada permanently as a self-employed person.

If you’re interested in this program, you must:

• Have relevant experience in cultural activities or athletics and
• Be willing and able to make a significant contribution to the cultural or athletic life of Canada

 The ICT category permits international companies to temporarily transfer qualified employees to Canada for the purpose of improving management effectiveness, expanding Canadian exports, and enhancing competitiveness in overseas markets. 

Through the ICT pathway, you will be able to secure an ICT Work Permit and eventually permanent residence (PR). In most cases, the principal applicant’s spouse and children will qualify to apply for an open work permit and study permit, respectively. 

ICT Eligibility

The ICT program is designed to attract 3 categories of individuals of established companies from all around the world to expand their operations to Canada. 

• Executives and senior managers of successful companies who are currently holding executive positions in that company and who intend to do similar work in Canada.
• Functional managers who are currently working in a foreign company and intend to occupy a similar position in Canada.
• Specialized Knowledge workers of a business who have advanced knowledge that is unique or uncommon.
